To create the aws linux Ec2-instance login to the aws account and choose the ec2 services inside the Ec2 Dashboard you can see the option called instances click that option.

Inside the instance option click the launch instances option, it will take you to the instance creation configuration setup.

In the instance creation step, you need to choose the name of the instance that is the first step of the instance creation.

Once the instance name is given the need to choose the OS, kernel, and architecture type. In aws os is called AMI– amazon machine image, in the ami you need to choose the OS(linux, windows, mac).

In the AMI section, you need to select the AMI with kernel type along with free tire-eligible AMI.
Choose the .architecture type 64bit x86 or 64bit Arm.

Once step 2 is completed, choose the instance type (family) like CPU, and RAM.

For the free tier, you need to choose t3.micro once.

The step4 is to create or choose the keypair, for the first time creating the keypair click create new key pair option.

Once click the create new key pair option it will show you the creation step of the key pair.

You need to give the name of the keypair, always give the name as simple.

Choose the key pair type as RSA

Choose the private key format as .pem and click create key pair, once clicked automatically download the key pair on your local machine.

Now use the created key pair by choosing the key pair.

Now we need to choose the network for that, we need to choose vpc for the first time you can choose the default vpc and subnet as no preference, auto assigns ip you need to enable it then you are able to connect the server directly from local.

For the security group, we have two rules

    1. Inbound – all the permission to access our instance.

    2. Outbound – allow the instance to access the internet(world)

For the inbound rules, you need to add the ssh protocol, which is used to connect the linux machine locally.

Outbound is always open to the internet

After completing the network settings we need to add the required size for the hard disk which is EBS volume.

Type the required size of the volume and choose the type for the EBS.

Once summarize the configuration and click launch instance.

.

Once Launched the instance waits for three to four minutes until the instance turns into the available.

Now, you can use ec2-connect, PowerShell, cmd prompt, and terminal to connect the ec2 instances locally.
